District ProfilesPublished: Summer 2004 Birmingham is divided into 11 districts, broadly comparable with the Parliamentary Constituencies, each comprising three or four wards. The links below are to Economic and Employment Profiles for each of the 11 districts, along with an overview. The reports focus on economic issues and in particular, on employment opportunities. They include estimates of job opportunities in each district resulting from labour turnover as well as employment forecasts to 2015. There is also an extensive analysis of supply side issues, including unemployment, which is intended to inform measures to assist residents into employment. There is also a section on wealth, income and expenditure. District Economic and Employment Profiles
