The Birmingham and Solihull Economic Review 2005/6
This report highlights the stregths and weaknesses of the Sub-region, and the prospects for jobs and economic growth to 2015. It was prepard for the Birmingham and Solihull Economic Development Forum.


Birmingham & the Euro
This report identifies the key economic implications for Birmingham arising from the introduction of the Euro and currency union. It includes the survey results from 244 manufacturing companies in Birmingham concerning the impact of the Euro that the BEIC conducted in 1999. Published November 2001.


Trends in Development Investment
This report identifies trends in development investment in Birmingham and benchmarks the City's performance against the West Midlands Region and a range of major cities during the 1990's. Published April 2000.


The Birmingham Economic Review & Prospects 2005
The annual Economic Review is the main scene setting and policy focusing document for Birmingham that is produced by the BEIC. The 2005 Review is divided into five main chapters: Economic Prospects, Economic Drivers of Change, Sector Prospects, Labour Demand and Labour Supply. Published March 2005. Published November 2001


Inward Investment & Company Re-locations
This report provides an objective assessment of how well Birmingham performed during the 1980's and 1990's in attracting mobile investment projects and measures the extent to which economic activity had decentralised away from the City. Published August 2001.


The Economic Impact of Development Investment in Birmingham: 1998 to 2010
This topic report, which includes a customised economic forecast, examines the impact of the current boom in development investment on the Birmingham economy. It provides output and employment forecasts by sector under various scenarios dependent on Birmingham's success in carrying through planned urban development projects.


Wages Survey 2001/2
This report provides essential quality wage data for Birmingham in important sectors and occupations. It also includes data on recruitment difficulty. The report is produced jointly by the BEIC and the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Published February 2002. Results are also available from the previous Wages Survey (2000). Published November 2000.


Employment Growth Companies
This report explores the job generating capacity of the local economy by segmenting companies into different categories based upon their employment growth record. It includes an analysis of the job creation record of more than 13,000 Birmingham companies between 1995 and 1998. Published April 2000.
