To change screen settings on a PC running Windows95 and upwards, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings and use the sliding bar to alter resolution. Alternatively right click on your Desktop, select Properties, select the Settings tab and use the sliding bar to alter resolution. For a Mac (OS X or greater) Open the System Preferences application and select Displays. A list of screen resolutions will appear; select the appropriate screen size. For a MAC (9.1 or below) go to the 'Apple Menu' in the top left hand side of the screen. Go to control panels, there will be a control panel called either 'Monitor and Displays' or 'Monitors', open this control panel and select the appropriate screen size. How do I change Text Size? See our Accessibility Page for details on changing text size. Can I obtain information in alternative formats? If you are unable to read or access the information in the formats we have provided please contact us to discuss your requirements. How do I update my Browser? It is advisable to use an up to date browser due to advances in technology (for example older browsers do not support AccessKeys). Free updates for Internet Explorer (www.microsoft.com), Netscape (www.netscape.com) and Opera (www.opera.com) are all available online. What are your Contact Details? Please see our Contact page. What is W3C? W3C is an organisation developing standards for the coding languages of the World Wide Web. It is our policy to develop web pages that meet the coding criteria for compliance with W3C CSS, W3C XHTML 1.0 and the 'Double-A' accessibility criteria. Please visit www.w3.org for more information. I can't download documents, what do I do? All summary documents are freely available in printer friendly format (HTML). To download full versions of documents you must be a registered user of the website. If you do not have Microsoft Word and/or Microsoft Excel you can download a free Microsoft Word and/or Microsoft Excel reader from http://office.microsoft.com/Assistance/9798/viewerscvt.aspx To view PDF files you must have Acrobat Reader. This can be downloaded for free from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html I've registered but do not have a password - what do I do? All users will be sent a password on registration, however the time it takes for users to receive their e-mail can vary due to factors beyond our control.
