This factsheet brings together information from a number of sources to give a socio-economic profile of Birmingham’s ethnic groups. The profile includes information on:

• A breakdown by ethnicity of Birmingham’s demography (population data from the 2001 Census)
• Birmingham’s labour market by individual ethnic groups (employment, qualifications and unemployment).
• Population and economic activity forecasts.

The data used in the profile is taken from official datasets. These official datasets come with a time lag but in all cases the most recent data has been used.
