Population data for the 39 Birmingham wards and 11 constituencies is derived from the 2001 Census of Population.


It shows that:

  • There were 977,087 people resident in Birmingham in 2001.
  • All Birmingham wards have a population the size of a small town.
  • Kingsbury ward has the lowest population, 16,480, and Small Heath the largest population, 35,102.
